I have a Mexican friend that I met her and her family 30 yrs ago when our girls played on the same softball team. For the past 30 years she has given my family homemade tamales every Christmas. She and her family have a yearly tamale making weekend!

I very year my Tia’s make tamales. But this year was different, because my Mom had passed away last year. She along with my Tia’s all get together to make this magic happen for our family and now they were down one. So, I along with my sister and cousin volunteered to jump in and take my Moms place.
